This week we released Swagtastic, the third single from The Strangest Freaks. Jay Colin was so nice to bless this song with his vocals. Swagtastic is taken from The Strangest Freaks debut album Thrills Galore, which was released the 19th of September.
Since 10 years Binkbeats (Frank Wienk) and me have been making beats together as The Strangest Freaks. Up till now we only officially released Dit Nooit Meer, a song which we made together with Typhoon (vocals) for the Knalland project Volhard in 2014.
Over these 10 years we have been gradually working on our first full album Thrills Galore, which consists of vocal tracks as well as instrumentals.
Guest MC’s on Thrills Galore are Dudley Perkins, Buggs Tha Rocka, Bless X Shahmen, Jay Colin, Reazun, Joe Kickass, Bfake, Moxy Lebowski, Unknown Eye & Sheikh Tijan.
The artwork for this project was made by Marleen Wienk, the final mix was done by Robin Rump and the mastering was done by Statinski Mastering.
Thrills Galore was released in September 2016.

Frank Wienk aka Bink(beats) and me have know each other for about 10 years now. We’ve been making beats together since that time as The Strangest Freaks. Over the years the collection of beats and songs grew bigger, as well as the instrumentation..
Check Out The Sound is the first single from our forthcoming debut album Thrills Galore. Featured MC is Dudley Perkins, of whom we both are a big fan.
For the last couple of years I lived in the neighbourhood of Kanaleneiland, Utrecht (NL). To be specific: in the part which we call Eiland 8. This part of the neigbourhood was set up for artists who could live there for a couple of years, and interact and collaborate with each other. After five years of fun, the project is now coming to an end.
My neighboor and filmmaker Jefta Varwijk decided that he wanted to make an video rememberance to Eiland 8, and in that short movie combine his video skills with images of the people who live there, and music made by people from the area including myself.
I delivered two (yet) unreleased tracks for the short film. The first is the track 3=1, from my forthcoming PRY album: Future, Past, Present, Infinity. The second is from the upcoming Strangest Freaks album: Thrills Galore and is called Initiation.
For the second Knalland album Volhard (which was released around the events of 4/5 May) I was asked to deliver a track. I chose to work with Frank Wienk aka Binkbeats (together we work as The Strangest Freaks) and Typhoon.
Typhoon and I wanted to make a track for years now, and this was the right opportunity at the right time. Within 3 sessions we did the whole Dit Nooit Meer track, which gave a kind of critical though funny look on the events around 4/5 May. The final mix was done by Shai Solan.
Volhard was released digitally in 2014.
